LinkedIn Integration — Privacy Policy
1. What this application is
The "Unmanually" application registered in the LinkedIn Developer Portal is internal software built and operated by Unmanually to manage Unmanually's own LinkedIn account(s) — including its Company Page and/or authorized member profile — through LinkedIn's official API. It is not a public or third-party-facing app: no member outside Unmanually authorizes or uses it, and it is not available for install by other organizations or individuals.
The application is operated using automation software, including AI-assisted systems (Claude, by Anthropic), configured and supervised by Unmanually personnel. All actions the application takes — posting content, reading account data, retrieving analytics — occur under the direct authorization of the Unmanually account holder who connected the app via LinkedIn's OAuth consent flow.
2. Data the application accesses
Depending on the API scopes granted at authorization, the application may access:
- Account identity data — the name, profile picture, and headline of the authorized LinkedIn member or Company Page, as returned by LinkedIn's API.
- Content the application manages — posts, articles, or updates created, scheduled, or published on the authorized account's behalf.
- Engagement and analytics data — impressions, likes, comments, shares, follower counts, and other performance metrics for content published through the application.
- Organization data — administrative and analytics data for the Unmanually Company Page, where the authorized account has admin access.
The application does not access data belonging to other LinkedIn members beyond what LinkedIn's API surfaces as public engagement metadata on Unmanually's own posts (for example, aggregate like/comment counts). It does not scrape, message, or connect with other members' accounts.
3. How this data is used
- To publish and schedule content on Unmanually's authorized LinkedIn account(s).
- To read performance and engagement metrics for Unmanually's own internal reporting and decision-making.
- To maintain and troubleshoot the integration itself (for example, verifying that a scheduled post published successfully).
This data is never sold, rented, or used for advertising or profiling purposes, and is not shared with any third party except as described in Section 5.
4. Data storage and security
OAuth access tokens and any data retrieved through the API are stored in access-controlled, encrypted storage, reachable only by authorized Unmanually personnel and the automation systems operating under their direct configuration. Credentials are never committed to public repositories or shared outside Unmanually's internal infrastructure.
5. Third-party sharing
Data obtained through this integration is not shared with third parties, other than:
- LinkedIn itself, as the platform the data originates from and is written back to;
- the infrastructure and hosting providers necessary to run the software (e.g. cloud compute and storage), which act strictly as data processors and do not use the data for their own purposes;
- where required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or to protect Unmanually's legal rights.
6. Data retention and revocation
Data is retained only for as long as the integration remains active and necessary for the purposes above. The authorized LinkedIn account holder can revoke the application's access at any time from LinkedIn's own account settings (Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Permitted services). Once access is revoked, Unmanually deletes the associated stored access tokens and ceases any further data retrieval.
7. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the integration's scope changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
